Renowned on-chain sleuth ZachXBT is caught in the middle of a debate on social media after he publicly disclosed the wallet addresses of memecoin trader Murad Mahmudov, also known by his X handle MustStopMurad. Murad has quickly risen to become a “main character” on social media, known for his incredulously bullish price targets on what he describes as “cult coins.” “I uncovered 11 high confidence wallets tied to @MustStopMurad holding ~$24M in meme coins on Ethereum and Solana so the community can monitor his future activity,” ZachXBT posted this morning. One user quickly drummed up a Dune Analytics interface monitoring Murad’s buys and sells, which shows that Murad has sold less than $10 worth of tokens on the linked wallets. Murad is up $19 million on one token, SPX, alone, wallet tracking service Cielo Finance said. Traders could already speculate on Murad’s wallets. He often announces the supply percentage he acquires of some tokens, which users could then cross-reference on block explorers. Even though Murad didn’t seem keen to cover up his on-chain tracks, users on social media have engaged in a heated debate regarding the ethics behind doxing wallets. Cold Blooded Shiller, a well-known crypto trader spoke on the matter “Yeah, not a big fan of painting a target ahead of time on Murad,” said Cold Blooded Shiller, a well-known crypto trader. “Who are we to decide what constitutes ‘dumping’ and what is normal profit=taking that anyone SHOULD do. What boundaries are we establishing there? How much does he sell to satisfy ‘profit taking’ vs ‘dumping." Another user, known as CoinJester accused ZachXBT of having a personal issue with the memecoin space and went as far as saying, “Zach clearly has some philosophical objection to folks talking about their bags, and memecoins specifically.” On the flip side, DonAlt said “The only extra risk Zac introduced is Murad not being able to dump on people. Murad shouldn't be unhappy if his conviction is true, people now know he holds what he said he does and he doesn't wanna sell anyway. Murads followers shouldn't be unhappy, they can live track whether he's all talk or whether he's sticking with it. Why are people angry?”
