LayerZero Community Program Launched with Rewards Using ZRO Token

The LayerZero community program is to make sure there is increased involvement and participation from the community at the heart of the LayerZero ecosystem, a leading cryptocurrency marketplace for cross-chain asset transfers.

Participants get rewarded for their great contributions to the community in the form of ZRO tokens. By design, the program had different levels of development: zerolayer, intern, hero, og, legend, and god. To back such community involvement with incentives, the foundation has managed to make up to 5 million ZRO tokens available, which are to be distributed during the duration of the program to members.

Early movers who get in before June will also receive an initial allocation of 25,000 ZRO tokens upon joining the community. Note that existing members need to migrate in order to keep the role and rewards. New members are welcome to choose their role and be prepared for the new token-earning opportunities soon.

LayerZero Expands Cross-Chain Network After $3 Billion Valuation

LayerZero is now a $3-billion company after a successful funding round of $120 million and still aggressively expands its cross-chain network with integrations on eight blockchain platforms: Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Optimism, Base, and Solana. The project has stated it intends to further integrate many other blockchains in the years to come.

The foundation also ran a widely publicized ZRO token airdrop in June. Per Messari, LayerZero was responsible for $6.7 billion in crypto asset transfers in Q1 2024, equating to $11.5 million in revenue.
