Cardano ($ADA) Gaming Goes Cross-Chain with New Layer 2 Network Integration

TL;DR Cardano blockchain users now have the ability to play on-chain games with their ADA tokens, thanks to a new cross-chain network integration from Paima Studios. The integration makes it more secure for users to play blockchain-based games without having to bridge tokens to other networks. In addition, the integration will allow users of other networks to play games based on Cardano without having to move assets or bridge tokens.

Cardano ($ADA) blockchain users will now be able to play on-chain games using their ADA tokens, thanks to a new cross-chain network integration from Paima Studios, effectively letting Cardano users play blockchain-based games without bridging tokens to other networks.

Bridging tokens between different blockchains is a process that carries significant security risks, as demonstrated by some of the biggest exploits in 2022. The integration ensures every game is non-custodial, which means that funds remain in users’ wallets and don’t need to be transferred to those of the games.

Cardano won't just be a top EVM chain

It will also be a top gaming chain🔥

Paima is a L2 for onchain games with ANY web2 language using ANY game engine

Now live for EVERY Cardano user from ANY wallet

All in pure ADA

In addition to providing a more secure gaming experience, Paima Studios’ integration with Cardano also allows games built on other networks to migrate to the Cardano blockchain. This feature enables users of those networks to play games based on Cardano without having to move assets or bridge tokens.

The release of this integration is the latest in a series of network improvements and features for the Cardano blockchain. Cardano blockchain users will also soon be able to access Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) smart contracts with any ADA wallet, following the recent release of a new feature by Milkomeda, a layer-2 network.

Notably, both Milkmomeda and Paima Studios were seemingly funded through the Cardano Treasury, which allocated $40,000 to each project to help them further develop the Cardano ecosystem.

As CryptoGlobe reported, ADA has seen a surge in buying activity from large investors, colloquially referred to as whales. These large token holders have added a total of 150 million tokens over the past month.

According to data shared by crypto analyst Ali Martinez from IntoTheBlock, a blockchain analytics platform, Cardano whales holding between 1 million and 10 million ADA have been on a buying spree, collecting over $57 million worth of the smart contract platform’s native token in a few weeks.
